I have been painting women and flowers for many years. I love to paint ordinary people in casual outdoor situations, using poses and placement to suggest optimism. A gentle light illuminates a woman’s face and body, casting a faint shadow to represent a romantic desire for a peaceful, restorative retreat from the rigors of modern life. I use the metaphor of the garden of life, in which my enjoyment of painting is similar to a gardener’s enjoyment of planting her garden.

Children in Landscape

I paint children in the Thai countryside which represents the happiness of simple living. There is nothing to worry about in a promising summer morning while the children play freely by themselves in the farm house yard. The sunlight illuminates the peaceful landscape of the countryside which takes our minds far away from the chaotic city life.
